A generated picture is a promise about a face, and a first date is where the promise is checked. The mismatch is the whole first impression now, and the lived version is blunt. You spent your best card before you were in the room.

There is also the arms-race cost. When everyone's photos are generated, every match starts with two silent deductions.

## The middle path that works

Use AI to fix the real photos you already have. Brighten, crop, erase the bin, unblur the one with the good smile. Keep the face you bring to the date, because the date is coming either way.
